| "With a Little Help, Inc." Provides camping opportunities for adults with muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular diseases. The Fondy Vintage Auto Club donates the profits from our "CAR-A-FUNDA" Car Show to "With A Little Help, Inc." GENESIS....... In the beginning, Muscular Dystrophy Association funded winter weekends and one weekend of the summer camp for adults with muscular dystrophy diseases. Although camp funding become no longer available through MDA, the need, the desire and the enthusiasm to continue to have camps remained so intense that they held their own winter weekend in February of 1982. THE DREAM EXPANDS....... The creation of "With A Little Help, Inc." by these same disabled adults and volunteer attendants established a long-term commitment to provide camping opportunities annually for these unique individuals. WHAT OUR CAMP PROGRAM OFFERS....... One-on-one assistance by trained volunteer attendants, 24-hours a day, as needed. Facilites easily accessible by wheelchair or walking. In the summer, heated swimming pool removes the burdensome effect of gravity. Comfortable sleeping arrangement with an attendant nearby for those too weak to turn themselves during the night.
